Charles C. DeMartino serves MedTech Risk Management as General Counsel, with law practice concentrated on healthcare defense litigation, with a particular emphasis on representing providers in the long-term care and medical sectors. Mr. DeMartino has extensive experience defending assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and acute care providers in complex medical malpractice and governmental liability cases.
Over the course of his career, Mr. DeMartino has served as national coordinating counsel for major long-term care providers, managing litigation across all levels of care. His role includes hands-on participation in mediations, coordination of e-discovery strategies, and the implementation of corporate document retention and compliance protocols.
He has a strong background in defending against medical malpractice claims, particularly those involving acute care hospitals and nursing facilities. His governmental liability defense work includes the representation of public health institutions in high-stakes civil litigation.
Mr. DeMartino is recognized for his leadership in risk management counseling, regularly advising clients in the biotech and long-term care sectors on regulatory compliance, contractual matters, and informed consent protocols. He also provides outside counsel services to healthcare startups and fertility clinics, with a focus on minimizing litigation risk through proactive legal strategies.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. DeMartino was a partner at Ledy-Gurren Bass & Siff LLP in New York City and an associate at a nationally ranked law firm, where he practiced in the products liability and healthcare litigation group.
Mr. DeMartino received his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, New York in June 2004 and a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in May 1999, graduating with a major in Psychology with a concentration in Biopsychology. While in law school, he served as senior editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.
Mr. DeMartino is licensed to practice law in New York and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York.
